Invitation Process

We don't believe in sitting you in front of a book and telling you to 'take your pick'.  Instead we allocate 1 - 2 hours to dedicate completely to you!  Below is a basic guideline of the invitation process in ‘Cara Marie Designs’ studio. A more thorough explanation unfolds through a booklet that will be given in your consultation. Please take the time to read through the booklet carefully, as it will answer most questions you may have about the stationery process, as well as thoroughly

Step 1

Design Consultation

During a one and half hour consultation Cara Marie will take you through various bases on which to start your invitations.  Guiding you through myriad colours, paperstocks and embellishments, you will embark on a journey of visual and textural elements to bring your ideas to life. During the appointment she will also go over other stationery elements you may like to complete your invitation suite. You will also be given a comprehensive guide to the ‘Stationery Process’.

Step 2

Stationery Booking

We will provide you a full quote based on your preferred design from the previous consultation, as well as prices on other elements you may like to include at a later date. This way you can go through your stationery budget and organize the items you would like to include.

Step 3

Stationery Booking

Upon acceptance of our quote, we will provide you with an invoice for the design part of your quote as well as a Guest List Template, Font Choices, Wording Assistance, Wishing Well Poems, Inscriptions as well as other useful information which will assist you with the details needed for your design. You will then be required to provide, in a word document, the information you would like to appear on your invitations. Once we format this information, we will email you a PDF copy for approval.

Step 4

Hard Copy Supplied

After providing you with a PDF layout (to which you are allocated two sets of changes), a hardcopy sample will be mailed to you for approval. At this time we will require authorization to commence your stationery as well as your completed guest list. An invoice will be raised at this stage and full payment will be required to commence your stationery order.

Step 5

Production Time

Production time can vary depending on the detail of the invitation and the availability of stock. Remember to give your guests enough time to plan for the event as well. After choosing your design, the production process is four weeks from the date you authorize us to print and produce your stationery.

Step 6

Collection

A staff member will contact you once your invitations are complete to organize collection. All that is left for you to do is place your completed invitations in their matching envelopes, adhere a stamp and mail…then of course enjoy the compliments that will be coming your way on introducing your event in such a stylish and unique way.
